Zaengle is a web engineering firm that builds for the other side of the screen. We believe #BeNiceDoGood goes a long way. With kindness as our guide, we work with almost all of our clients a long time—in fact, over 90% of our clients have been with us for more than 3 years. We value the work we do, but we value the people we work with more.

Philip’s greatest childhood loves were LEGO and earning money (by selling soda at baseball games) - two foundational traits of entrepreneurs everywhere. These early interests built Phil’s innate skill for translating business logic to developers and engineering logic to decision-makers. He loves to take a complex business problem and solve it with great code and design that builds solid value. Phil realized early on that he only loved making his clients successful if he was nice and did good work. That’s how Zaengle Corp’s mandate, “Be nice, do good" was born. It’s the heart of what has helped him create success for 70+ clients since 2009.

Amanda is a fixer; she can optimize, streamline and organize just about anything. She spent ten years in the non-profit sector while coaching Philip in all things related to growing a business. These days she spends her time looking for ways to better serve Zaengle's clients, all while improving team culture. As a part-time hobby, she negotiates deals between her Chocolate Lab, Ruby, and three-year-old son, Henry.

Managing software development projects requires attention to detail, a good memory, and a bit of business savvy. Patrick brings all three traits to Zaengle as our Project Administrator. He spent eight years working for a PR and marketing agency, the last half of which was devoted to developing their fledgling website department. During that time Patrick came to believe that the key to running successful projects is building relationships with clients, coworkers, and vendors. At Zaengle, he embodies our Be Nice, Do Good philosophy with a blend of buttoned-up professional and southern hospitality.

As a midwest native, Emily brings a touch of ‘Nebraska Nice’ to her role as a Zaengster. Emily previously worked for a web and digital advertising agency, as well as a SaaS company. She has a background in multimedia and education, which she now uses to teach our awesome customers how to get the most out of our products and to drive marketing efforts. When she’s not behind a computer, Emily can often be found reading, enjoying the outdoors with her dog, and trying to keep her houseplants alive.

Logan is a Junior Engineer at Zaengle hailing from the upper peninsula of Michigan. He's lived in the bleak mid-winter all his life, so it makes sense that he's a Michigan Wolverine fan. Logan collects random useless facts, flies drones, and is Zaengle's resident Rubik's Cube expert.

AJ likes the way things work. A tinkerer and problem solver before Construx and dial-up BBS were a thing, he enjoys putting pieces together—a philosophy that applies whether he is framing together a home office or constructing content and design systems here at Zaengle. AJ has been delivering quality content management systems since the days of Movable Type, and he now builds with Craft, Statamic, TailwindCSS, and Vue.js. Outside of work, AJ is an avid photographer; mostly of the night sky or his 3 (soon to be 4) children. In his limited spare time, he teaches swimming lessons.

David is the sole representative of the Pacific Standard Time Zone for Zaengle, but luckily for us his internal clock is still stuck on stock market time (from his time in the stock marketing industry). Prior to Zaengle-life, David worked on websites for Sony's Alpha Universe, Microsoft, and SAP Concur and prior to the coding life he was an Anti-Money Laundering Investigator. When he's not knee deep in CSS and drooling over beautiful user interfaces, you can find him bouncing between his 31.3 different hobbies (like e-commerce, design, hiking, photography, investing, growing beards, backpacking, mountains, hot tubs, helping others, personal finance, economics, and futbol).
